FAQ - Frequently asked questions concerning the application process

How can I apply for a job?

We only accept online applications, preferably in PDF format. We will treat your documents with absolute confidentiality, in particular with regard to existing employment contracts. Please indicate where you found our vacancy notice, i.e. in which type of media or on which job platform.

What documents do I have to send with my job application?

Please submit an informative application folder containing all relevant documents. This application folder should include cover letter, CV, photograph, university diplomas or the like, as well as all significant training/internship certificates and job references. Your job application should not exceed a volume of 5 MB.

Where should I send my job application if I am interested in several locations?

Please send us only one job application, even if you are interested in several locations. In your cover letter name your preferred location and inform us of your second and third choice, if you have one. If there is no vacancy at the location of your choice, we will automatically consider your job application for the other locations.

What are the next steps in the application process?

We may ask you to submit additional or missing documents. Then we will assess your job application in detail. Depending on the result of this assessment, you will receive either an invitation for an interview or a letter of refusal. Normally this process does not take longer than four weeks.

What happens at the job interview?

In our interviews we place great importance on getting to know you personally: Here we would like to emphasise that our procedure differs greatly from standard selection procedures such as those used at assessment centres.
Your travelling expenses to the interview within Germany will be reimbursed on the basis of a 2nd class ticket for Deutsche Bahn. Before starting your journey, please call Yvonne Engel at our office for detailed information.

What kind of contract will I be offered?

We employ our staff on a permanent, full-time basis. After a six-month probation period, your contract will be transformed into a permanent contract. In general, we do not employ freelancers and temporary staff.
